July 14th in Paris

The Hotel Le Relais de la Malmaison offers the perfect starting point from which to experience the highlights of the Bastille Day celebrations in Paris. In about twenty minutes, you can reach the Place de l'Etoile and the Arc de Triomphe, from where the great military parade will begin on the morning of the 14th. You can then walk down the Champs-Elysées, mingle with the jubilant crowd and admire the various units of the French military in full dress uniform. The fly-by of the Patrouille de France aerobatic display team, tracing tricolour swirls in the summer sky, is one of the most anticipated moments. Then, the Fête Nationale reaches its apotheosis in the evening, on the Champs de Mars. The evening begins with a concert by the Orchestre National de France, which, along with the Choeur de Radio France, performs great works of classical music as well as more popular pieces. At nightfall, the setting is perfect for the launching of the great fireworks display which sets the Eiffel Tower and the whole sky of Paris ablaze with coloured light. An awe-inspiring sight!

 

Bastille Day in the Hauts-de-Seine

It’s not only in Paris that the French National Day is celebrated! A few minutes from the Hotel Le Relais de la Malmaison is the historic park of Bois Préau, linked to the Beauharnais and Bonaparte families, where you can experience a joyous festive occasion. The city of Rueil invites you to do so on July 13th from 20:00. Entertainment will be offered before the fireworks begin at 23:00. The next day, you can continue to enjoy a delightful programme by heading to the Jardin des Tourneroches in Saint-Cloud. From 19:00, a large picnic will bring the public together, then DJ Nataly K will electrify the atmosphere until the fireworks of Paris, clearly visible at a distance, illuminate the sky. You can put together a convenient tasty dinner, courtesy of the food trucks onsite, and enjoy it while relaxing on the grass. And if you want to continue having fun, this time to the sound of electro music, head to the nearby Paris Longchamp racecourse for a frenzied Garden Party.

 

And how about July 15th?

To help you recover from these two days of celebration, the Hotel Le Relais de la Malmaison has thought of everything!
