The team of the Relais de la Malmaison participated in the national French TV show Bienvenue à l'Hôtel (Welcome to the Hotel) broadcast on TF1. We won the show with scores of 8.3/10 for setting and benefits, 8.7/10 for services, 7.3/10 for the rooms and 9.4/10 for the quality/price ratio, making an average score of 8.4/10! A well-deserved result for this haven of tranquillity and well-being at the gates of Paris.

Michel and Stéphan opened the doors of their establishment

The national TV channel TF1 was welcomed to the Relais Malmaison, Rueil, on Tuesday, April 24th, 2018. The principle of the game show Bienvenue à l'Hôtel is that four pairs of hoteliers test each other’s establishments in competition for the title of best hotel of the week. These hotel managers give their opinion regarding the level of services and comfort. Stephan and Michel, the managers of the Relais Malmaison, had to face the competition and ruthlessly frank judgments of Regis and Alexis from the Indre, Nadège and Christophe from the Charente-Maritime and Micheline and Ludivine, a pair of Belgian ladies. Michel and Stephan came out the big winners of the show with an overall score of 8.4/10 rewarding the setting, the services, the quality of service, the rooms, the restaurant as well as the quality/price ratio of their fine establishment.

The Relais Malmaison, a superb hotel complex with conference rooms

Stephan and Michel's hotel, a haven of well-being set in the heart of a lovely 2-hectare park, was opened back in the 30's. It was originally a leisure centre designed to accommodate the vacationing employees of a large oil company before being transformed into a real hotel complex with 60 rooms, including 14 superior, 14 deluxe, 29 classic rooms and 3 junior suites. Rates vary from €150 to €210. On the Bienvenue à l'Hôtel show, the rooms received a rating of 7.3/10.

The fully wooded estate has been expanded to include two cottages, a Club House building, a Guest building and conference rooms. An orangery makes it possible to host weddings or a wide range of other events. Such benefits made all the difference in the competition!

Within the park, guests can also avail themselves of a tennis court, a 9-hole golf course, a spa, a Jacuzzi and an indoor pool. An ideal place to relax in peace. The wellness space made a strong impression on some candidates, who were inspired to award the maximum score of 10. The exceptional setting and the quality of the services certainly deserved the 8.3/10 score for the upscale setting and benefits of the place.

A restaurant that gives pride of place to fresh ingredients

Fans of a simple and tasty gastronomy will not forget their visit to the Relais Malmaison, where they will be comfortably settled in the Terrasses du Relais. A warm and friendly atmosphere awaits that is certain to give them delightful moments of authentic pleasure.

The menu, developed by a chef who is respectful of seasonal ingredients, offers simplicity and originality for all tastes. The restaurant gives priority to fresh produce and also provides a menu for vegetarians. From the first rays of the sun, guests can enjoy the terrace overlooking the park, whether for lunch, brunch, Sunday lunch or a breakfast buffet. During the recording of Bienvenue à l'Hôtel, the other three hotel duos were able to taste homemade foie gras cooked with champagne, smoked salmon ravioli and pressed Iberian pork, followed by a delicious raspberry bavarois on a Breton shortbread biscuit. The quality of the menu at €37, along with the excellence of the services offered, allowed the Malmaison Relais to score a gratifying 8.7/10. Stephan and Michel were proud and happy to dedicate this victory to the entire team at the Relais de la Malmaison.
